Tufton joins Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as Mission Ambassador
Today, Tufton joined the Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping (the “Center”) as a Mission Ambassador to the independent not-for-profit research and development Center.
As a leading investment manager focused on the shipping industry, Tufton has committed to align its funds to the Paris Agreement by fully transitioning to zero carbon energy sources by 2050 and investing in zero carbon capable vessels before 2030.
Tufton and the Center share a common vision of decarbonisation of the maritime industry. Tufton brings its experience of managing institutional capital in shipping and will benefit from the Center's extensive work in fuel transition and technologies.
